His own investments
Advice to Marcus on his personal portfolio — individual equities Synergy has researched, a Managed Portfolio where that suits him, or a combination — against his personal objectives and the risk he is prepared to take.

Marcus invests in his own name, and has capital to invest through a company he runs. Marcus and the company are separate clients, with different objectives — what the money is for, and over what time — so they will not always be invested the same way. What Marcus wants is one adviser at Synergy who understands both.

Advice to Marcus on his personal portfolio — individual equities Synergy has researched, a Managed Portfolio where that suits him, or a combination — against his personal objectives and the risk he is prepared to take.
His company’s capital
Advice to the company on how its capital could be invested — again individual equities, a Managed Portfolio, or a combination — against the company’s own objectives, which are not the same as Marcus’s. Nothing says the two should be invested alike. A Managed Portfolio for a company depends on the platform accepting the company as a client.
One Synergy adviser knows both and advises each on its own terms; advice is given separately to Marcus and to the company, against the objectives and circumstances relevant to each. Where a Managed Portfolio is recommended for either, a separately regulated discretionary investment manager makes the day-to-day investment decisions inside a written mandate, and Synergy remains the adviser. Synergy advises; it does not manage the investments.
Who decides
Marcus, for himself; the company, for itself. Each decision is made on advice given with the reasons and confirmed in writing, and each is looked at on its own terms.
If you invest personally and through a company and want one adviser who understands both, start with a conversation.
Investment Advice is a regulated advisory service delivered by the investment adviser against each client’s circumstances. Where a Managed Portfolio is suitable, a separately regulated discretionary manager makes the day-to-day investment decisions within a written mandate, and Synergy remains the adviser. Research is not personal advice. Investments can fall as well as rise.
