Client examples · Frank · Second opinion

“I already have a portfolio. I want someone I can call when something changes.”

Frank has built a portfolio of his own over the years. He doesn’t want it managed for him, and he doesn’t want a running commentary. What he wants is a Synergy adviser he can call when a holding moves sharply, the case for something he owns changes, or he is weighing up a new investment — someone who will do the research and give him a straight, personal answer.

Frank is an illustration, not a client. Nothing on this page is a recommendation or a forecast.

When Frank calls

A holding moves.

A share he owns rises or falls significantly. Synergy can look at it again and advise whether it makes sense to hold, buy more, reduce the position or sell.

The case changes.

Results, company news or a change in valuation alter the investment case for something he owns. Synergy can reassess it and advise him on what to do.

He’s considering something new.

Frank is weighing up a new investment. Synergy can research it, judge it against what he already owns, and make a personal recommendation. Sometimes the recommendation is to leave it.

When Frank calls about a company he owns that Synergy follows, the adviser can take him through what Synergy Intelligence, the firm’s own research capability, has recorded on it — the view Synergy has taken, and whether that view has changed.

Synergy’s research is not personal advice. The personal recommendation is made against Frank’s circumstances, and the decision is always his — nothing is bought or sold except on his instruction.

If you have a portfolio of your own and want an adviser you can call when something changes, start with a conversation.

Investment Advice is a regulated advisory service delivered by the investment adviser against your circumstances. Research is not personal advice. Investments can fall as well as rise.
